- The challenge
- REMAT București-Sud has been dismantling and recycling vehicles for around fifty years, but its stock of used parts lived on the phone. Buyers had no way to see what had come off which car, and the legal end-of-life scrapping service was invisible online. Any catalogue we built would also have to be maintained by the yard team daily, as cars arrive and parts come off them — not by us.
- What we did
- We designed and built a custom Nuxt application on Firebase. On the front, a live catalogue filterable by make, model and category, part pages showing the donor car, condition and price, and a public feed of vehicles currently being dismantled — plus a casare track explaining the certificate of destruction and RAR paperwork owners need to deregister a car. Behind it, a management dashboard the yard runs itself: staff log an incoming car once, then list parts against it with photos, condition and price, and the public catalogue and stock counters follow automatically.
- The outcome
- Hundreds of parts searchable in seconds instead of over the phone, and a catalogue the yard keeps current without touching code or calling us — the site reflects the actual stock in the yard, the day it changes.
